Rajesh Gupta, also known as The Lensocrat is an artiste by default. He is a multidisciplinary, award winning celebrity photographier. He also serves as the Brand Ambassador for Canon from East of India.
He is an extempore poet, a passionate cook, a theatre actor and a ﬁlmmaker by Profession. He has also acted in several teleﬁlms and Directed plays for children.He is a lover of dogs, music, and ‘khachaak’ - the sound of a camera shutter.
He was one of the founder-directors of the sweets and confectionary chain Gupta Brothers, but gave up the title 15 years back to follow his passion for Art and Photography.

His recent work includes the prestigious portrait shoot of the Oscar winner lyricist Gulzar, Mr Shah Rukh Khan ,Pandit Chitresh Das, Amrish Puri, Mithun Chakraborty, Pandit Birju Maharaj, Pandit Jasraj, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Mr Harsh Neotia , Ms Madhu Neotia , Mr Sanjiv Goenka, Sanjay Budhia , Mr Mukesh Ambani , Ms Nita Amabani .Ms Gunjan Jain.
He had also worked in collaboration with Master painters, Paresh Maity , Wasim Kapur, Sanatan Dhinda , Chittrovanu Mazumdar and G R Iranna . Designer Raj Mahtani , Kiran Uttam Ghosh , Anamika Khanna, Manish Malhotra ,Shyamlu Dudeja and many more .
His corporate assignment includes short film and ad campaigns , for various companies including , ITC Sonar , Sun Africa Hotels Kenya , Lafarge , Microsec, Aircel and Blackbery , Cisco. The India Story . Gujrat Ambuja.
His editorial works have been extensively published in news dailies and magazines such as The Telegraph, ToI, Vogue, Harpers Bazar Bride, The Readers Digest, Marwar, Society, Femina, Elle, JADE, Inside Outside, Savvy, The Taj Magazine, etc.
He is also a senior Faculty along with Mr. Dabboo Ratnani at the International Institute of Photography Kolkata, founded by Mr.Sanat Ghosh
